Colossus Of Eislingen

The Colossus of Eislingen is the nickname of a particlularly tall powerline tower in Germany. The Colossus of Eislingen is formally known as pylon 3 of powerline 9421 of EnBW, and is situated near Eislingen. The Colossus of Eislingen is a 47 metre (154 foot) high anchor pylon built in 1981. It stands with its legs in such way that the Schweinbach River runs under it. This feature is reminiscent of one of the seven wonders of the world, the Colossus of Rhodes, hence its nicknames.
