The Colorado Rockies are a Major League Baseball team based in Denver, Colorado. They are in the Western Division of the National League. The team is named after the Rocky Mountains which pass through Colorado.

Franchise history

The Colorado Rockies joined the National League as an expansion franchise in 1993. The team has been to the baseball post-season once. The team set attendance records in its days back at Mile High Stadium, and was the first team in the history of Major League Baseball to record over 4,000,000 fans in annual attendance.
