Cole Centrale Paris

cole Centrale Paris is one of the leading French Grandes coles of engineering.

Situation

It is situated in the Paris, France region (called le-de-France), more precisely in Chtenay-Malabry, Hauts-de-Seine.

History

It was founded in 1829 on a private initiative, but was given to the French state in 1857 by its creator, Alphonse Lavalle. Its official name is cole Centrale des Arts et Manufactures.

National and international ties

The cole Centrale Paris belongs to the French Intergroupe des coles Centrales, together with cole Centrale de Lille, cole Centrale de Lyon, and cole Centrale de Nantes. Since 1837, it has built international ties too, which are a very important dimension in this school. Indeed, students come from all around the world to study for a couple of years on the school campus, and the cole Centrale students can also obtain a double diploma in one of the partner schools (depending on the school and the studies chosen, engineering degree, Master of Science, etc.). The full list of partner universities can be found here *.
