Cloverdale, Western AustraliaCloverdale is a suburban area of Perth, Western Australia. It is part of a larger suburb called Belmont, along with the areas of Rivervale, Kewdale, Redcliffe and Lathlain. Recently, real estate prices have risen dramatically. Cloverdale was once always labelled a 'scummy' area, and although it is still somewhat untidy, its closeness to the Central Business District of Perth has been a major attraction to the area, as the entire city continues to grow. Also, the addition of the tunnel linking areas in and near Belmont to the inner city via the Graham Farmer Freeway has caused real estate to 'boom' in the area (as the locals would say). Cloverdale consists of mainly residential zoned blocks with mainly houses and few units and flats, but is also home to the Belmont Forum Shopping Centre and several industrial warehouses are located on Cloverdale's north-western border. A little unknown fact is that Cloverdale is where the Belmont City College high school is located, where many of Western Australia's greatest businessmen, such as Jefro Lee, Daniel Heath and Ludwig Jefferson had partaken advanced study. While many features of Cloverdale are still currently under development, it's future prospects and council plans look very promising for it to one day be a tranquil, inner city community.
