Closing (Morphology)

The Closing (morphology) is the Erosion (morphology) of the Dilation (morphology) of the set A. C(A, B) = (A+B)-B where + is the Minkowski addition. A \subset C(A,B) Closing (morphology) is, together with Opening (morphology), the basic workhorse of morphological noise removal. Opening removes small objects, whole Closing removes small holes.
