Clipboard Manager

Clipboard manager is a computer program or a feature of a larger program that allows the user to keep multiple objects, usually text fragments, in the clipboard. Without a clipboard manager, often it is only possible to keep one entry in the clipboard. If another object is cut or copied, the previously stored one is overwritten and lost. This is characteristic of Microsoft Windows operating system and of some of the less sophisticated UNIX text editors like pico. A clipboard manager has been a standard feature in powerful UNIX editors like vi and emacs. On Windows systems a clipboard manager application, often freeware, may be installed, but it is not a part of the operating system infrastructure as of 2004. Later versions of Microsoft Word have also included a built-in clipboard manager. freeware Clipboard Express: http://cheqsoft.com/clipboard.html
