Clint Mansell

Clint Mansell (born November 7, 1963, in Coventry, England) is a musician and composer. Clint Mansell was the lead vocalist and guitarist of the British band Pop Will Eat Itself. Clint broke into the world of film scoring when his friend, director Darren Aronofsky gave him the opportunity to score his debut film, π. Despite critical acclaim, Clint's score went widely unnoticed by both fans and critics of more traditional film composers, such as John Williams and James Horner. Clint's score for π was followed up by his score for the next Darren Aronofsky film, Requiem for a Dream. The score not only became a cult hit, as it received high notoreity from a plethora of composers. Howard Shore even arranged and conducted his own version with a full orchestra and choir for promotional videos for the film The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. Other notable achievements include the theme for the film The Hole and the music for the pilot episode of .
