The Claddagh on a cold January day
The Claddagh was once a fishing village located just outside the walls for Galway city where the Corrib River meets Galway Bay. Nowadays the city has expanded considerably, so the Claddagh is considered to be part of the city centre. The Claddagh is famous for the Claddagh ring -- a friendship ring.
