Civic Alliance Of Serbia

The Civic Alliance of Serbia (Грађански савез Србије/Građanski savez Srbije) is a liberal party in Serbia, allied to the Democratic Party. Notable members have included Goran Svilanović, the foreign minister in the Democratic Opposition of Serbia government of Serbia and Montenegro, and Nataša Mićić, the president of the Parliament and acting president of Serbia after the assassination of Zoran Đinđić. The party currently has five representatives in the National Assembly of Serbia. Future of the party is in doubt, since it split into two wings. One promotes merging with Democratic Party, other wants to continue political existence, as independent party. The december 2004 party congress confirmed to remain a independent party and elected Nataša Mićić as party leader. The party decided to apply for membership of the ELDR and the Liberal International.
