Cibola is a census-designated place located in La Paz County, Arizona. As of the 2000 census, the CDP had a total population of 172.

Geography

Cibola is located at 33°21'34" North, 114°40'29" West (33.359469, -114.674678). According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 46.6 km² (18.0 mi²). 46.6 km² (18.0 mi²) of it is land and none of it is covered by water.

Demographics

As of the census of 2000, there are 172 people, 65 households, and 39 families residing in the CDP. The population density is 3.7/km² (9.5/mi²). There are 161 housing units at an average density of 3.5/km² (8.9/mi²). The racial makeup of the CDP is 75.58% White, 3.49% Black or African American, 6.40% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 11.63% from other races, and 2.91% from two or more races. 33.72% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 65 households out of which 29.2% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 53.8% are married couples living together, 6.2% have a female householder with no husband present, and 38.5% are non-families. 27.7% of all households are made up of individuals and 12.3% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.65 and the average family size is 3.33. In the CDP the population is spread out with 30.8% under the age of 18, 3.5% from 18 to 24, 25.0% from 25 to 44, 24.4% from 45 to 64, and 16.3% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 36 years. For every 100 females there are 135.6 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 124.5 males. The median income for a household in the CDP is $21,719, and the median income for a family is $43,250. Males have a median income of $60,313 versus $17,500 for females. The per capita income for the CDP is $15,772. 12.6% of the population and 0.0% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total population, 0.0% of those under the age of 18 and 26.7% of those 65 and older are living below the poverty line.
