Christmas Sunday

Christmas Sunday is the Sunday nearest to Christmas. In the United Kingdom between 1954 and 1993, if Christmas Day fell on a Saturday, 26 December was referred to as Christmas Sunday, and Boxing Day was observed on 27 December. However, this practice has fallen out of use : in 1999 and 2004, 26 December was called Boxing Day even though it fell on a Sunday.
