The Chippewas of Georgina Island are an Ojibwe (or Anishinaabeg) First Nations community on Georgina Island in Lake Simcoe, Ontario, with a registered population of 660 peoplehttp://sdiprod2.inac.gc.ca/fnprofiles/FNProfiles_GeneralInformation.asp?BAND_NUMBER=138&BAND_NAME=Chippewas+of+Georgina+Island. They are thus one of a handful of First Nations in the Greater Toronto Area.
