ChemIn Egyptian mythology, Chem (also Khem, Skeet) is the deity alternatively known as Min, was the god of increase, considered the father of the Egyptian race. He is usually pictured wearing a women's garment. Chem is often equated with the biblical figure Ham, the son of Noah and progenitor of Mizraim (the Hebrew term for Egypt). Others hold that the name Chem was based on a faulty reading of the hieroglyphic text by 19th century Egyptologists, and that Min is the sole true name for him.
