Chelone

• a plant genus commonly known as turtlehead.
• a nymph in Greek mythology, Χελωνη, Kheln. She refused to attend or was disrespectful at the marriage of Zeus and Hera, and as a result was changed into a tortoise, condemning her to eternal silence. "Kheln" means "tortoise" in Greek and the tortoise was a symbol of silence in ancient times.
