Charlotte Eagles

The Charlotte Eagles are a professional soccer club based in Charlotte, North Carolina. They play in the Second Division of the United Soccer Leagues, the 3rd level in the American soccer pyramid. The Eagles enjoyed a brief spell in the USL First Division before financial troubles caused them to return to the lower level. The Eagles also field a women's team. The Charlotte Lady Eagles. The Lady Eagles play in the Atlantic Division of the USL W-League. Currently, the club plays it's home matches on the grounds of Waddell High School in Charlotte. The Club's local rivals include The Atlanta Silverbacks, Richmond Kickers and Charleston Battery of the USL First Division, the Wilmington Hammerheads and the Northern Virginia Royals of the Second Division.
