Charles Philip Yorke, 5Th Earl Of Hardwicke

Charles Philip Yorke, 5th Earl of Hardwicke, (1836 - 1897), was controller of the household of Queen Victoria and Master of the Buckhounds 1874 - 1880. He married Sophia Georgiana daughter of Henry Richard Charles Wellesley, 1st Earl Cowley in 1863. In 1879 Charles had a horse race the Hardwicke Stakes eponymously named after him.
