Charles Newell Carter

Charles Newell Carter (born 9 May 1967) is a Democratic politician from North Carolina; he served two terms in the North Carolina General Assembly. Carter was born in Asheville, North Carolina and graduated from Asheville High School in 1967. He earned a bachelor's degree in international studies and history from Oglethorpe College and then taught in the Buncombe County schools. Carter became a member of the North Carolina Senate in 1998 and served through 2002. Carter, Charles Newell
