It is obtainable in every game except Pokmon Ruby, Sapphire, and Pokmon Colosseum. It evolves into Blissey when it becomes sufficiently happy. Chansey is a oval-shaped, pink Pokmon with many flabs of flesh along its sides. It has a marsupial-like pouch in which it always keeps a Pokmon egg. Because of their healing powers, Chansey in the Pokmon television series are usually seen in Pokmon Centers, aiding the resident Nurse Joy. Name Origin Chansey is mostly likely a deliberate misspelling of "chancy," referring to the popular belief that this Pokmon brings luck to its owner. The original Japanese name comes from the English word "Lucky", meaning someone or something that has a lot of luck. External links
