Chanoch Nissany

Chanoch Nissany is a motor racing driver. He is currently a test driver for the Minardi Formula One team. Nissany was born on 29 July 1961 in Israel but is now based in Budapest in Hungary. He is Israel's first Formula One driver. Nissany is said to have had an unconventional career. He only started racing in 2002, when he was 38 years old - most drivers are considered to be over the hill at that age. He began his career in the 2002 Formula 2000 Hungarian National Championhip, and was runner-up in his first season. Since then he has progressed, via Formula 3000, to become a Formula One test driver. Despite so far being the only confirmed test driver for the Minardi team, it has already been made clear that Nissany will not be Minardi's third driver, and will therefore not take part in Friday test sessions at Formula One Grand Prix meetings.
