Changi General Hospital

The Changi General Hospital (CGH) is the largest hospital in the east of Singapore, with its present facilities at Simei opening on 28 March 1998. It was formed as a result of an amalgamation of two hospitals rich in history, the Changi Hospital and the Toa Payoh Hospital, the later of which was the direct predecesor of the medical institution. The hospital can therefore trace its roots back to June 1957, when the Thomson Road Hospital began construction, and which was to eventually evolve into its present state.

History

fill in As a result of a restructuring exercise in the local heathcare scene, the hospital became a member of the Singapore Health Services in 2000.
