Champion is a 1949 American film noir film which tells the story of a boxer who becomes the public's champion while destroying his private life. It stars Kirk Douglas, Marilyn Maxwell, Arthur Kennedy, Paul Stewart and Ruth Roman. The movie was adapted by Carl Foreman from a story by Ring Lardner. It was directed by Mark Robson. It won the Academy Award for Best Film Editing and was nominated for Best Actor in a Leading Role (Kirk Douglas), Best Actor in a Supporting Role (Arthur Kennedy), Best Cinematography, Black-and-White, Best Music, Scoring of a Dramatic or Comedy Picture and Best Writing, Screenplay.

Champion is a 2002 South Korean film about Duk Koo Kim, a South Korean boxer who was killed in a highly publicized bout against Ray Mancini in 1982.
