region of

to the north, and by the Uttaranchal districts of
Pithoragarh

Bageshwar

Garhwal
to the southwest,

to the west, and
Uttarkashi
to the northwest. It is inhabited by the Tibetan
Bhotiyas
who follow
Hinduism
.
