Cha (Cha) is a common family name in Korea. The Yŏnan Cha clan is the only clan. The founding ancestor was Cha Hyojun, son of Yu Cha-tal (10th century AD). Most of the clans members live in Gyeongsang province, Hwanghae province, or P'yŏngan province. Famous Cha include
