Cfx

CFX is a commercial computational fluid dynamics (CFD) program widely employed within industry. History: CFX has its roots in the program Flow3D originally developed in-house for use by the UKAEA. FLOW3D was commercialised by UKAEA and AEA Technology, renamed CFX and purchased in 2003 by Ansys Inc. The original product offering was based on a structured code (Up to and including CFX4) based on the SIMPLE solution techique, which was subsequently replaced by an unstructured code using a full coupled solver (CFX5 onwards).
