Central Gur Languages

The Central Gur languages are a subgroup of the Gur languages. They are classified into six subgroups: Northern
  • Oti-Volta (28 languages)
  • Bwamu
  • Kurumfe
Southern
  • Grusi (20 languages)
  • Kirma/Tyurama
  • Dyan, Gan, Dogoso
The Oti-Volta and the Grusi groups are the largest. Oti-Volta includes Mor (Mossi) and Gurma, some of the most spoken languages of Burkina Faso.
