Centrahoma is a city located in Coal County, Oklahoma. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 110.

Geography

Centrahoma is located at 34°36'33" North, 96°20'42" West (34.609299, -96.345053). According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.6 km² (0.2 mi²). 0.6 km² (0.2 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water.

Demographics

As of the census of 2000, there are 110 people, 36 households, and 29 families residing in the city. The population density is 169.9/km² (440.4/mi²). There are 44 housing units at an average density of 68.0/km² (176.2/mi²). The racial makeup of the city is 71.82% White, 0.00% African American, 22.73% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 5.45% from two or more races. 0.00% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 36 households out of which 44.4% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 61.1% are married couples living together, 16.7% have a female householder with no husband present, and 16.7% are non-families. 13.9% of all households are made up of individuals and 8.3% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 3.06 and the average family size is 3.30. In the city the population is spread out with 39.1% under the age of 18, 7.3% from 18 to 24, 28.2% from 25 to 44, 13.6% from 45 to 64, and 11.8% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 29 years. For every 100 females there are 107.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 116.1 males. The median income for a household in the city is $23,125, and the median income for a family is $24,375. Males have a median income of $16,607 versus $18,750 for females. The per capita income for the city is $8,927. 29.3% of the population and 17.4% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total population, 52.2% of those under the age of 18 and 25.0% of those 65 and older are living below the poverty line.
