Cemen

Cemen appears to be the Turkish word for the herb fenugreek. It is sold in Turkish delicatessens in the UK in a red pepper paste (kayseri cemen), so is at least medium-hot. There should also be a cedilla under the 'c' (but isn't always) so it's pronounced 'chemmen'. This is gleaned from a Turkish shop owner - I was mostly interested in finding if it was vegetarian, which it apparently is.
