Celador

Celador is an independant production company formed in 1983. It has produced a number of popular light entertainment shows, but is probably best known for Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?. The chair is Paul Smith. Chris Tarrant is a non executive director, and Jasper Carrott owns a substantial share in the company. J. R. R. Tolkien credits cellar door as being the most beautiful phrase in the English language. The company now has several strands:
  • Celador International handles international sales of formats
  • Celador Radio Broadcasting will bid for new licenses as they are announced by OFCOM
  • Celador Music & Events
