Cascade Valley, WashingtonCascade Valley is a census-designated place located in Grant County, Washington. As of the 2000 census, the CDP had a total population of 1,811. Geography Valley is located at 47°8'42" North, 119°19'24" West (47.144958, -119.323447). According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 11.5 km² (4.4 mi²). 7.2 km² (2.8 mi²) of it is land and 4.3 km² (1.7 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 37.47% water. Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 1,811 people, 665 households, and 474 families residing in the CDP. The population density is 252.4/km² (654.7/mi²). There are 759 housing units at an average density of 105.8/km² (274.4/mi²). The racial makeup of the CDP is 79.73% White, 2.87% African American, 1.44% Native American, 0.33% Asian, 0.06% Pacific Islander, 11.32% from other races, and 4.25% from two or more races. 17.12% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 665 households out of which 36.1% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 57.4% are married couples living together, 10.1% have a female householder with no husband present, and 28.6% are non-families. 22.6% of all households are made up of individuals and 6.8% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.72 and the average family size is 3.16. In the CDP the population is spread out with 29.3% under the age of 18, 9.3% from 18 to 24, 30.3% from 25 to 44, 21.3% from 45 to 64, and 9.9% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 33 years. For every 100 females there are 105.8 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 106.3 males. The median income for a household in the CDP is $37,344, and the median income for a family is $41,250. Males have a median income of $35,179 versus $23,693 for females. The per capita income for the CDP is $16,170. 15.0% of the population and 13.5% of families are below the poverty line.
