Casa De Isla Negra

Casa de Isla Negra was Pablo Neruda's house in Chile. He and his wife Matilde Urrutia are buried here. It is a beautiful island, in English, Isla Negra means Black Island. It rains a lot in this area, and that inspired Neruda to write "Oda a la Tormenta." (Ode to the Storm) in which he personifies the ode to be his "novia" (girlfriend). The house is now a museum and has become a popular tourist spot.
