Carrier Frequency

Carrier frequency is the fundamental frequency used in both amplitude modulation and frequency modulation i.e. it is the frequency which is modulated and is the frequency to which a receiver should be tuned in order to demodulate the information signal. In a sense, the carrier frequency "carries" the information.
