Carlo Orelli

Carlo Orelli (December 23, 1894 (Perugia, Italy) – January 22, 2005) was the oldest living Italian veteran of World War I who had been in the Army when Italy joined the war, following the March 16, 2004 passing of Pasquale Frasconi, also 110. Following his death in 2005 at the age of 110 it was wrongly claimed that he was Italy's last living WWI veteran, when in fact there were still about two dozen living. He was in fact the last veteran to have fought from the beginning of the war for Italy, i.e. from May 25, 1915.
