Carla Howell

Carla Howell was the Massachusetts Libertarian Party candidate for U.S. Senate in 2000 and for Governor in 2002. In 2000, she received 11.9% of the vote in a lopsided race easily won by Ted Kennedy; in 2002, she declined to 1% and fourth-place in a race won by Mitt Romney. She also campaigned for a ballot measure in 2002 that would end income tax in Massachusetts, but it failed with 45% of the vote.
