Carl Von Donop

Carl Emil Kurt von Donop (died 1777) was a Hessian mercenary who fought for the British in the American Revolutionary War. Colonel von Donop commanded the Musketeer Regiment von Donop, from Hesse-Kassel. He was fatally wounded attempting the capture of Fort Mifflin in the Battle of Red Bank, New Jersey, and died three days later on October 25, 1777.
