CareFlite is an air ambulance company that operates out of the Dallas-Ft. Worth Metroplex. Founded in 1979, the company operates five helicopters (one Bell 222 and four Agusta A109s) and one PC-12 fixed-wing aircraft from five bases in Dallas, Fort Worth, Frisco, Denton and Grand Prairie and assists with medical transport and other paramedic services for emergencies in hard-to-reach areas that require care that can only be provided by the larger hospitals in Dallas.
