Captain Garrovick

In the science fiction television series Star Trek, Captain Charles Garrovick was the commanding officer of the U.S.S. Farragut, the first starship posting of a young James T. Kirk. Captain Garrovick and half of the Farragut's crew were killed when the ship was attacked by an alien creature which drained its victims of blood. Garrovick had been Kirk's commanding officer from the day Kirk graduated from Starfleet Academy; Kirk always regarded Captain Garrovick as one of the finest men he had ever known, and took his captain's death very hard.
