CappellaCappella is an English-Italian dance-group, which were very popular in the '80s and '90s of the 20th century. The name Cappella was first used in the year 1987. The big man behind Cappella was the Italian Gianfranco Bortolotti. In 1988 had their first major hit in England with the song Bauhaus (Push The Beat). One year later they had more success with Heylom Halib. Around this time Cappella featured the singer Ettore Foresti. In the beginning of the '90s Cappella had other major hits, Ettore got replaced by the English Rodney Bishop (rap) and Kelly Overett (vocals). Their greatest successes were made in 1993 and 1994 with the songs U Got 2 Know number 6 (Jun 1993), U Got 2 Let The Music number 2 (Oct 1993), Move on baby number 7 (Mar 94) and U & Me number 10 (Jun 94). Their second album, War In Heaven was a flop and Cappella quickly faded away until 3 years ago, where they released new mixes of U Got 2 Know in 2002. As of the middle '90s the popularity of Cappella was increasing. Since 1998 nothing new got released. Till 2002 when U Got 2 Know got new 2002 remixes. Cappella seems to be back in 2004 with their first new song Angel and major clubhit U Got 2 Let The Music 2004. Cappella had around 10 top-40 hits in the UK. Discography - Helyom Halib (1989)
