Capitol Hill Arts Center

Capitol Hill Arts Center, also known by its acronym CHAC (pronounced like "shack"), is a performing arts complex located in the Capitol Hill district of Seattle, Washington. The CHAC houses a number of businesses catering to many aspects of the arts: performing, musical, healing, culinary, and others. The space includes a full theater on the upper level, a Pilates studio and CRAVE. On the lower level, the building houses Static Factory Media (a full-service arts center), Brown Paper Tickets (a pro-consumer ticketing agency), as well as a full bar and performance venue. The center was founded in 2002 by Matthew Kwatinetz and Karen Finneyfrock, Seattle-area writers and community activists.
