Capella (Crater)Capella is a lunar crater that lies to the north of the Mare Nectaris, in a rugged region with many small impact craters. It is intruding slightly into the eastern rim of Isidorus crater, a feature only slightly smaller in diameter. The Capella crater wall is low but relatively thick. A valley formed by a chain of craters passes directly through the Capella crater, from the north rim through the southeast side of the wall, and extending out both sides for a combined distance of 110 kilometers. The crater rim is also broken by a gap in the south. In the middle of the crater is a wide, round peak with a craterlet at the top. Satellite craters By convention these features are identified on Lunar maps by placing the letter on the side of the crater mid-point that is closest to Capella crater. | idth="25%" style="background:#eeeeee;" |Latitude | width="25%" style="background:#eeeeee;" |Longitude | width="25%" style="background:#eeeeee;" |Diameter | | lign="center"|A | align="center"|7.6° S | align="center"|37.2° E | align="center"|13 km | | lign="center"|B | align="center"|9.4° S | align="center"|36.8° E | align="center"|10 km | | lign="center"|C | align="center"|5.7° S | align="center"|36.3° E | align="center"|11 km | | lign="center"|D | align="center"|6.7° S | align="center"|37.6° E | align="center"|8 km | | lign="center"|E | align="center"|7.5° S | align="center"|37.7° E | align="center"|16 km | | lign="center"|F | align="center"|9.2° S | align="center"|35.4° E | align="center"|14 km | | lign="center"|G | align="center"|6.8° S | align="center"|36.9° E | align="center"|12 km | | lign="center"|H | align="center"|8.1° S | align="center"|37.4° E | align="center"|9 km | | lign="center"|J | align="center"|9.4° S | align="center"|36.0° E | align="center"|9 km | | lign="center"|M | align="center"|4.4° S | align="center"|37.0° E | align="center"|12 km | | lign="center"|R | align="center"|6.0° S | align="center"|35.2° E | align="center"|7 km | | lign="center"|T | align="center"|6.9° S | align="center"|34.2° E | align="center"|6 km |
