The Cape Griffon or Cape Vulture (Gyps coprotheres) is a majestic species of bird endemic to southern Africa. They nest on cliffs and usually lay one egg per year. The species is listed as "Vulnerable", the major problems it faces being poisoning, disturbance at breeding colonies and electrocution. IUCN Conservation Status: (VU A1ade+2de, C1+2b)
