Camillo Castiglioni

Castiglioni,Camillo (lived 1879 - 1957) was a banker, sometimes called as a financial magician. Born in Triest, he lived in Austria. Before the World War I, he was manager of the Austrian Semperit rubber company. He helped Rapp to found BMW. He became rich in ventures during the period of inflation, acquired majority interest in Alpine Montan AG. The Austrian aviation company sterreichische Luftfahrtsgesellschaft was founded by him. Castiglioni built up a large art collection and a theatre in Vienna.
