C TeamThe C Team was a football team established by Director of Football, Kenny Swain, former Aston Villa player, of Thomas Telford City Technology College during 2002. It was a pioneering football team, which was an experiment first devised by Benjamin Wood when he was only 16 years of age. Looking for fellow team mates, amongst his close friends, Benjamin Wood had created a concept team that had no prior football training. They were entered into the British Corinthians League and managed to win. Two league victories over New College and a draw against Hagley F.C, where an equaliser was scored in the last 3 seconds of the match, helped them to top the Corinthians league, the first of its kind ever tried out in Britain. The C Team had been entered into a major competition without any Football training. Following this the C Team entered a small team into the Sambas British league and Knossa's league, winning both. The team has since disbanded. Team members - Russell Strothers (Business and economics student at Bristol)
