Burper

A burper is a possible new type of radio wave–emitting object in the universe. Currently, the only known example of a possible burper is GCRT J1745-3009, which lies in the direction of the center of the Milky Way Galaxy. Its radio emissions do not match those of pulsars, in that the emissions were sporadic or transient: its pulses lasted 10 minutes and repeated every 77 minutes, and were observed over a 17-hour period. It is believed the object may be associated with a magnetar, or it may be an entirely new type of object.
