Buonamico di Martino orBuonamico Buffalmacco (active c. 1315 1336) was an Italian painter who worked in Florence, Bolognaand Pisa. No recorded work of his survives, although he may bethe Master of the Triumph of Death, the painter of a fresco cycle in the Camposantoin Pisa. Boccaccio (in his Decameron) and Sacchetti (in his Il trecentonovelle) both describe Buonamicoas being a practical joker. Giorgio Vasari includes a biography of Buonamico in his Lives.
