Buddhasvamin (Monk)

Buddhasvāmin was a Kuchean Sarvastivadan Buddhist monk and great scholar who presided over all of Kucha's Buddhist temples and nunneries during part of the fourth century. His famous disciple Kumārajīva later became a Madhyamikan and moved to Chang'an, then capital of China, to become one of Buddhism's most prolific and noted translators.
