Bs7799

BS7799 is a standard published by the British Standards Institute (BSI). It was originally written by the United Kingdom Government's Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), and after being re-published several times, was eventually adopted by ISO as ISO 17799. However, a second part to BS7799 was subsequently produced, known as BS7799-2. BS7799-2 focuses entirely on information security management systems (ISMS). It is intended to 'dovetail' with other quality standards, such as ISO 9000.
