Bryce Courtenay

Bryce Courtenay (b. Johannesburg, South Africa in 1933) is an author of novels. He spent most of his early years in a small village in the Lebombo Mountains. His novels are primarily set in either Australia, his adopted country, or South Africa, the country of his birth. His first book, The Power of One, was published in 1989 and, despite Courtenay's fears that it would never sell, it quickly became one of Australia's best selling books by any living author. It has been adapted into a movie starring Armin Mueller-Stahl and Stephen Dorff. Today, Bryce Courtenay lives in Sydney, Australia. Bibliography Note that except for The Power of One, Courtenay's books are not published in the United States of America. Courtenay, Bryce Courtenay, Bryce Courtenay, Bryce
