Broadway (Professional Wrestling)

In professional wrestling, Broadway refers to a protracted match which lasts for an extended period of time, often to a pre-arranged time limit (such as 60 minutes), and is then declared to be a draw. The term apparently derives from the length being such as seemingly being comparable to that of a Broadway play. Also a term used by announcers and/or ringside crew to alert the wrestlers or referee that the match has gone too long and needs to be taken home. See also: professional wrestling slang
