Brian Boucher

Brian Boucher (Born: January 2, 1977 in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, USA-) is an American professional hockey goaltender. He currently plays for the National Hockey League's Phoenix Coyotes. He was drafted by the Philadelphia Flyers in the 1995 NHL Entry Draft, First Round, Twenty-second Overall. He began play with the Flyers, then was traded to Phoenix on 6/12/2002 (traded along with draft picks for Michal Handzus and Robert Esche). Boucher created a buzz in the hockey world as a rookie in the 2000 Playoffs. In Game 4 of their 2nd Round matchup against Pittsburgh, he backstopped Philadelphia to a victory that took 5 overtime periods to complete. later on, in the Conference Finals, the Flyers blew a 3-1 series lead and a chance to play for the Stanley Cup. More recently, in Phoenix, Boucher broke the record for the longest shut-out streak by a goalie in history (332 minutes, or 5 and a half games).
