BoycieAubrey Terrance Boyce (b. 31st January 1948, Woolwich) or Boycie as he is more commenly known, is a character in the popular BBC sitcom Only Fools and Horses played by John Challis. Boycie is the local second hand car dealer and for a long time was the richest and most successful regular at the Nags Head. Boycie, although well-off and arrogant with it, is still a wide boy at heart and enjoys the company of Del and his mates, if only to revel in his superiority. Boycie and Del share a loose friendship, but prefer to play a long-standing game of one-upmanship. Boycie holds several cards over Del in that he is a mason, of superior wealth and, of course, has his famous deep, indulgent laugh that lets Del know when Boycie has the upper hand. Del on the other hand has his superior cunning and street smart, the support of the other Nags Head regulars and can also wield the fact that he has a long-standing friendship with Boycie's wife, Marlene (aka the Peckham bicycle), which often ventures into the realms of flirtation. Boycie's hobby is breeding tropical fish and he boasts of a having a holiday cottage in Cornwall. He and the fabulously named Marlene, after much well documented trying - and failing - conceived a son called Tyler. Boycies first name was revealed when the regulars took part in a seance. The medium asked for an Aubrey. Boycie replied. Del Boy said "You never told us your name is Aubrey." Boycie replied "Nor would you if you were called Aubrey."
